The “Maison Gisbert” comes from the family property of architect Timm Helbach, who, together with his wife Stefanie Helbach, Architectural office mAmuth leads.

mHowever, amuth does not only plan and implement architecture, but sees itself, as described on the website, as a manufacturer of architecture, furniture, urbanism and theory. This means that mamuth and its collective of creative minds dedicates not only architecture but also to interior design, urban planning and analytical research.

But we don't just want you mamuth (by the way, you can find it on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/mamuthprojekt/), but in particular put the “Maison Gisbert” in beautiful Rheinhessen in perspective. The small farmhouse, which was built on a vaulted quarry cellar typical of the region at the beginning of the 20th century, became a pearl of creative design within a year. Thanks to well-thought-out restructuring, there is space in addition to the kitchen and bathroom, three bedrooms and a spacious living and dining room on 100 square meters of living space.

The pretty single-family house impresses with its 1960s charm, which was taken up again in the design by Timm Helbach and his team. For example, for the cement tiles that are laid in the corridor, toilet and kitchen, by mamuth created her own, currently suitable pattern, according to the motto “Swinging 60s”. Mosáico made a suitable stencil in accordance with this request and produced the unique petrol-colored pieces for the house in the wine region.

The builders found inspiration for tile design in a collection of samples developed themselves in Vienna, which they are happy to use again and again for designs, including materials used in the projects.

The Helbach family will not move into the Goldstück in Rheinhessen themselves — it is available for rent and will certainly give future tenants a lot of joy and offer them a creative living atmosphere.

We would like to thank Timm Helbach and mAmuth for the successful collaboration and look forward to further joint projects.
