In collaboration with Mosaics Martí, designers Manu Bañó and David Galvañ from LaSelva Studio developed the ETNIA tile series. The pattern, which on a single hexagonal tile is reminiscent of mikado sticks lying one above the other, develops into a loose weave in the surface. The designers were inspired by traditional woven baskets and bags, which are still widely used throughout the Mediterranean region.
The design consists of two different patterns: a flat one in which the rods connect on all sides and a closed one which allows the transition to plain-coloured tiles.
In this way, there are endless design options. Either an area can be completed, patterned and unpatterned areas can alternate, or the overall picture can be loosened up with triangles of different sizes.
As part of the tight Collaboration with Mosaics Martí ETNIA can also be ordered from Mosáico. As always with Mosáico, the color palette can of course be freely selected according to your wishes.
